4 Delivery Points Addresses in the AMS database are the official addresses assigned by the local planning authority including possible secondary addresses assigned by building management. Local planning authority assigns the addresses and the Postal Service adopts the addressing. Addresses in AMS reflect actual delivery points, physical addresses or variants of actual delivery points. AMS does not support addressing for antenna sites, cell towers, meter pits, culverts etc. Two main ways to get addresses into AMS: Carrier/local Post Office Address Provider sends Electronic or hardcopy data flows to AMS
