Dear God, As we gather together, we ask you to bless us and bless

Dear God, As we gather together, we ask you to bless us and bless this sacred space, a symbol of this holy season of Advent. Help us to get ready for Jesus at Christmas. Leader: Mary loved God so much, that she said “Yes” when the angel came to her and asked her to be the mother of Jesus. Help us to bring the gift of love to others this Christmas. Lord, hear us. Students: Lord, hear our prayer. Leader: Mary and her cousin Elizabeth were filled with joy when they were both having babies. Let us bring the gift of joy to others this Christmas. Lord, hear us. Students: Lord, hear our prayer.

The Advent Wreath is our symbol of everlasting hope, love, joy and peace. Let us bring the gifts of hope, love, joy and peace to others this Christmas. Lord, hear us. Students: Lord, hear our prayer. Leader: Loving God, we thank you for the gift of Jesus at Christmas. Fill our hearts with the gifts of hope, love, joy and peace this Advent and always. Students: Amen

Christmas Time is Near. There’s a drum, drum in the air every where as cicadas throb out their song. There’s a pound, pound of the waves on the beach as the tide stretches out on the shore. Gum leaves crackle under our feet, Christmas bush blooms red and pink and We share presents and lots to eat. Christmas time is near.
