Task Your main task today is to create the plot for a film on Oliver Cromwell which will portray him as either an hero or a villain. Before you can do this, you need to decide whether you think he was a hero or a villain. On the next slide is a table of the key events in Cromwell’s life. Decide whether each event shows he is a hero, a villain or is neutral. If you can print the slide out you could write onto the sheet but don’t worry if you don’t have a printer – you could write it into your book instead.
Time to decide… So now you have all the information you need, what angle is your film going to present? Will you portray Cromwell as a hero or a villain?
The next step Decide what your film will include: • How will you portray Charles I? • Which events from Cromwell’s life do you want to include? Tick the events on your table that you will use. • A possible title for your film.
Plan the plot Use the storyboard sheet on the next slide to plan the plot of your film. You could print it out and fill it in or draw the boxes into your book.
